Coming soon – DCAMCUT 8.4

It is nearly time. We are already looking forward to presenting you our new DCAMCUT version with many new interesting functions to make your work with DCAMCUT even easier! As always, we attach great importance to the highest quality. Therefore there is still a lot to be done before the official release at the end of June when our DCAMCUT version 8.4 will finally be ready for you.

7. NC browser / NC processors

DCAMCUT generates the respective NC code, beginning from the first step you make in programming, in the background. This lets you constantly check if the programming meets your requirements.

Additionally you have the so called NC browser, which lets you, based on the NC code, localise and check any contour area, after you are finished with programming. This tool can be used parallel to the 3D simulation, which leads to the display of an even more precise wire EDM process.

As you can already guess from the names, our NC processors are not post processors. The difference is as simple as it is serious:

A post processor converts the CAM strategies you created into another format only afterwards. Thereby you have no guarantee that the NC code, which is sent to the machine, exactly meets your expectations.

In contrast to that, our NC processors only generate NC code from what you have created and checked in advance via your CAM strategies. Hereby certain geometry areas that cannot be easily transferred over to machine control (such as nurbs curves and nurbs surfaces) will be interpolated in such a manner that tangential transitions are created if possible. Thereby the potential of the specific machine control system is taken into account, so that also circles and circular transitions can be transferred to the machine.
